Why are you so quiet?   Is something wrong?

Do you get asked this frequently?   I know I did.
I think that is why I started talking so much.
Now I am told I talk too much.

You can't win for losing sometimes.
But I have decided it's okay.     People tend to try and speak for you anyway.   I guess that's why I got some many all up in my business; they are just trying to tell my story.

I should be the one to tell my story.
And you should be the one to stay in your lane, and not try to fill in all those silent gaps with your own words, thoughts, or impressions.  Of me.

One of the risks of being quiet is that the other people can fill your silence with their own interpretation: You’re bored. You’re depressed. You’re shy. You’re stuck up. You’re judgmental. When others can’t read us, they write their own story—not always one we choose or that’s true to who we are.

Some times, I just want to appreciate the silence.

“In order to see birds it is necessary
to become a part of the silence.”
           ~ Robert Lynd

When was the last time you sat silent and appreciated the stillness?
