This Monday we are prompted by Tiffany at Sounds Like Life to Me, to list songs that inspire us.

Well that should be pretty easy.
I mean, how could I NOT be inspired after such a winning weekend!!?
Google Search

Congratulations to our men's Olympic Hockey team, who will now most certainly be allowed re-entry into Canada: for making us so proud, and proving (along with our women) once and for all that :  We ARE hockey!!/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/landscape_960/image.jpg

Ok, no more hockey.  I promise.
Till Lord Stanley comes knocking.

Back to my real day job, which is of course:  Writing.

I’m (XmasDolly) the Conductor on this Musical trip.  Co-conductors are my buds Callie of JAmerican Spice, Stacy of Stacy Uncorked, Cathy of  Curious as a Cathy, Naila Moon of Just the Stuff You Know and Honorary co-conductor this month will be our Becca from Every Day Life  due to the fact that our co-conductor Stacy will be taking a hiatus for a few weeks because she’s moving.  Yep our gal bought a beautiful house.  If you stop by her place you can take a peek!   NOW LET’S ROCK THIS PLACE & get this TRAIN rollin’!

As per today's inspiring theme, I present:  The Writer's PlayList

Because this is all I really wanna be....

If you find it easier to Write It - rather than Speak It; this song is for you:

If you're born with a love for the wrote and the writ
People of letters your warning stands clear
Pay heed to your heart and not to your wit

Writer's Block?
Yep - The Boss gets it.

I'm sick of sitting 'round here trying to write this book

How do you find inspiration when that cursor is blinking like a lighthouse beacon upon the page; but leading you nowhere?

Ah, it's tough out there, a good muse is hard to find
Living one word to the next, one line at a time
There's more to life than whiskey, there's more to words than rhyme

(excuse the horrible video - it's all I could find -- just let Kenny Chesney's voice be your muse.)

I'll share my go-to get the pen on the page and just let it bleed out song...

But for all of us Word Wranglers, some days: all you can manage is a single word.
Make it a good one!

(but probably not the one meant here.)

How does music inspire you?
Do you listen to music when you are writing?
