Another weekend done and gone.
The good news is, everybody here - aside from a lingering coughing hack - seems to be on the mend.

The heat wave continues though. We have not had rain in over 2 weeks.
Grass fires: yeah, that is happening.

I've been soaking our lawn and my gardens for a few minutes every day.    My spidey-sense is tingling over and over with the looming words:   "water ban".
However, the kids - yes, the same ones that will not get in the darn tub - love running through the sprinkler.    In their underwear.

Really, is there any other way?
It's fun and a great way to cool off when the sun is like 7 inches away.

So they tell me.
Unrelated, my backyard has a super high fence  ;)

Let's get this dance party started, shall we? This week's theme is "Gone, but not forgotten - A tribute to artists who have recently passed".

1.
6/7/12: Former member of Fleetwood Mac, Bob Welch, was found dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the chest. He was 65.

2.
5/20/12: Member and co-founder of the universally popular disco mega group "The BeeGees", Robin Gibb passed away after a long bout with cancer. He was 62.

3.  Also, the one that caused real tears to stream down my face.

5/4/12: Adam Yauch was better known as "MCA" from the iconic hip hop group The Beastie Boys. He was 47 years old. Yauch had been diagnosed with the cancer that eventually ended his life in 2009. The Beastie Boys were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame about 1 month before his death. Yauch as also a film director and the founder of movie distribution company Oscilloscope Laboratories.  A Buddhist, he was involved in the Tibetan independence movement and organized the Tibetan Freedom Concert.

(ok, so you know there may be some language)

Finally, as the result of a terrible recent tragedy here in Ontario, Canada:

Scott Johnson - Died 6-16-2012 in Toronto, Canada - When a a stage collapsed - He was 33 years old - Drum technician - Worked with Radiohead and Keane.

And of course, a tribute to many who had passed long before:

Indeed, one heck of a rockin band beyond the pearly gates.
